Dateline Denver: The best political minds on the web have determined that Soulful Sarah placed second in the District One (Northwest Denver) Council Race. Andrew Oh-Willeke over at Wash Park Prophet and Dave Burrell over at Denver Politics (see comments below) have concluded (kind of) that the poor performance of the District One write-in candidate, Gerald Styron–who apparently filed an affidavit of intent to serve with the Denver Election Commission and who received only nine votes–resulted (sort of) in the probability that Soulful Sarah received up to 247 votes.
The conclusions of Mr. Oh-Willeke and Mr. Burrell:

Clearly, given the poor performance of the authorized write in candidates, Soulful Sarah must not have done half bad.

Good point. It’s especially telling since Gerald Styron received only 9 write-in votes. Given that there were 256 writeins for District 1, it’s possible she received as many as 247 of ’em!

Sarah is ecstatic with the news of her near-victory, as the pic above reveals.
