GAYS IN THE MILITARY: House Armed Services Hearing 7.23.08

For two hours, the Congressional hearings on the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” policy provide–at least for me–a renewed faith in the wisdom, the good sense, the superb articulation of the issue by some of the members of the committee, as well as most of those who testified. Still, though, the video also provides the inane, absurd articulation of those who embrace “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” as something essential to their obvious embrace of principles espoused from pulpits and pundits who have yet to understand the promise of the Constitution. You know, all that troublesome verbiage in the First and Fourteenth Amendments.
