Prayers answered. Amen, indeed!
I’m so happy today! The one dark cloud is that Prop 8 passed in California. I’m very unhappy about that.
DB, yes, today is a good day, with the exception you noted. But, let’s not forget that Marilyn Musgrave, the congresswoman who penned the amendment to the US Constitution defining marriage as one man/one woman (that failed), and who represented northeastern Colorado, was trounced in her reelection bid. That’s a good thing. Also, with regard to Prop 8. I’ll just provide a link to the “Romer v. Evans,” experience in Colorado, beginning in 1992 with a voter approved sanction against protecting, among other categories, same-sex rights, was overturned by the courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, which I believe is probably where the Prop 8 vote will end up. Ahhhh. I feel like a great weight has been lifted from our country’s back.
Doog, you’ve got to also take some comfort in the demise of the “Muskrat,” Marilyn Musgrave. I know I do. I guess it’s something like what goes around comes around, huh.
